Thanks to everyone who participated in as little as one or all of the 18 segments during the 6-week series. Judging from everyone's Strava images, fun was had by all. On the other end of that, we did have a couple of crashes with one significant injury- please wish Jeff Kraber a speedy recovery. Stay safe out there!

We had 12 riders (10 male and 2 female) complete all 18 segments through the 6-week series. Some riders spent just over a total of 4 hours to complete the 18 segments, while others spent over 7 total hours. That's a heck of an accomplishment. Every one of you deserves a pat on the back! Job well done! The following 12 riders will receive a $35 gift card from Bikes Unlimited as a reward for all their hard work and miles of driving! Gift cards can be picked up beginning Tuesday, May 30th at Bikes Unlimited.
Every competition must have winners!
Female winner: Peggy Warner. This year we changed things up, scoring the females against only the females. Peggy (60 pts.) edged out Mintcy Maxham (58 pts) by slim two points. Peggy had the edge on the road segments while Mintcy had the upper hand on the mountain bike. Week-3 proved to be the difference with Peggy winning the week by 2 points. It was so much fun watching these ladies battle it out!
Male Winner: Joel Nace. Joel takes home the series win. Joel had lots of weekly competition, with his only segment win coming in Week 5 Road. G R (Ben Wright) dominated the weekly segment competition - taking home the win in 9 of the overall 18 segments. However, Joel takes home the series crown due to his consistency. Joel had an average finishing place of 2.7 while scoring an additional 30 bonus points for completing all weekly segments. Showing up every day matters the most!

The '23 BUSSCS had 84 riders complete at least one segment! Thanks to you all and huge congrats!
'23 Road Segments: G R tallied the most points on the male side of the road segments with 158 points. Peggy Warner racked up an impressive 101 total points for the females. Peggy was 5th overall! Road Results
'23 Gravel Segments: Jeremy Ramsey took home the most points for the males with 116 edging out Joel Nace (114). Peggy Warner's 61 points paced the women with Mintcy Maxham not far behind with 46 points. Gravel Results
'23 Mountain Bike Segments: Jeremy Ramsey (135 pts) outraced Joel Nace (125) for the most MTB points in 2023. On the Female end, Eleanor Herndon won 5 of the 6 MTB segments, totaling an impressive 68 points and finishing 9th overall. Mintcy Maxham's (Eleanor's mother) week 6 victory prevented Eleanor's clean sweep.
